About the Role

The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a skilled Void Surveyor to join our team. As a Void Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing proactive and reactive repairs within a geographical area within the borough.

You will work in collaboration with various teams within the council as well as external stakeholders to provide a comprehensive repairs service. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role in a local authority within the repair's environment of at least five years.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Effectively managing own workload
  • Conveying messages effectively
  • Establishing clear targets and meeting them
  • Demonstrating resilience to pressure
  • Maintaining professionalism at all times
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Diligence in managing records, documentation and follow up actions

To be considered for this role, you will need to have relevant experience, sound IT skills, sound repairs knowledge, and at least one relevant qualification in this field.

The successful candidate will be asked to apply for an Enhanced Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

About the Team

The team manages a range of works from emergency repairs, routine repairs, through to planned works. We work in collaboration with various teams within the council as well as a number of external stakeholders to provide a comprehensive repairs service.
