Clinical Homecare Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate NMC registered nurse to join our healthcare team in the Truro area. As a Clinical Homecare Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and administering a range of medications in various environments, including clinics, residential accommodation, and patients' own homes.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and expanding market, offering greater convenience to patients while delivering efficiencies to the NHS. As a Clinical Homecare Nurse, you will be part of a team that helps the NHS meet the needs of elderly, disabled, or vulnerable patients who may not be able to easily visit the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient observations and ensure that any patient is fit to proceed with their treatment
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the medical team
  • Provide compassionate support to the patient and family
  • Educate patients and their families to promote understanding and independence
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams ensuring that patient safety is paramount
Requirements
  • Full NMC registration
  • Excellent cannulation/phlebotomy skills
  • Experience in standard and complex infusion therapies
  • Commitment to maintain your professional development
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Full UK Driving license
  • Willingness to travel in order to meet the needs of the services provided
  • Chemotherapy/SACT experience would be an advantage, however training will be provided
What We Offer
  • Annual salary: £36,646 - £38,000 (depending on experience)
  • Car allowance up to £6,465 per annum or entry to a salary sacrifice scheme
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)

  • Pension - you will be auto-enrolled after 3 months of employment at 5% (with an employer contribution of 4%). You can also opt to increase your contribution to 6% to which the employer will contribute 8%
