We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our dynamic team of Technical Officers at Blaby District Council. As a key member of our Lightbulb partnership, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering schemes of adaptations to domestic properties, supporting vulnerable clients to stay safe, secure, warm, and independent in their own homes.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a customer-focused environment, collaborating closely with colleagues and partners, including Occupational Therapists, Housing Support Coordinators, Administration, landlords, health and social care organisations, builders, and architects. You will have the opportunity to work independently, managing and delivering a varied and complex caseload with minimum supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver schemes of adaptations to domestic properties
  • Work closely with colleagues and partners to ensure timely delivery of services
  • Manage and deliver a varied and complex caseload with minimum supervision
  • Produce schedules of works and provide technical drawings
  • Awareness of current planning and building regulation issues and relevant health and safety legislation
Requirements
  • Experience in a construction-related field or housing repair/adaptation
