Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that staff have regular training and undertake continuing professional development.
  • Ensure the home operates within the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and regulatory reporting is carried out appropriately and effectively in a timely manner.
  • Provide out of hours on-call cover for the area in line with the on-call rota.
  • Ensure that risk assessments are completed on all identified risks for each individual and the home, and these are reviewed in accordance with the Organisation's policies and procedures.
  • Manage complaints and compliments in accordance with the Organisation's policies and procedures, analysing complaints for trends and ensuring remedial action is taken and documented.
  • Complete checks on all financial transactions and ensure that all monies of people supported are safeguarded.
  • Raise awareness and report any Safeguarding concerns in line with local and national policies.
  • Manage the nutritional needs of individuals and ensure that Food Quality Hygiene standards are met.
  • Ensure that the building is maintained and repairs are reported and rectified in line with the required timescales.
  • Analyse all Accident and Incident reports, ensuring appropriate action has been taken and using information to identify trends and minimise future risks.
  • Run, follow and complete audits in line with organisation policy and ensure systems are followed.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working as a Team Leader within Health and Social Care, in particular, learning disabilities and autism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) with the ability to learn new software as needed.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or in a team environment depending on the needs of the household.
