We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our Manufacturing team at Dechra. As an Electrical Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall performance of plant, machinery, and electrical installations on the Manufacturing facility.



Your key responsibilities will include ensuring that relevant PM and electrical contractor service inspections are conducted on time, managing external contractors, and carrying out active monitoring. You will also be responsible for identifying best practices and implementing improvements to ensure continuous improvement.



In addition, you will be responsible for completing repairs and breakdowns in a timely manner, performing RCA's for all breakdowns, and ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to ensure that all work carried out in a controlled manner.



As an Electrical Engineering Specialist, you will have a minimum of 5 years post-qualifications experience in a similar role including PLCs. You will also have panel wiring and fault-finding techniques, three-phase and single-phase installations either in a Pharmaceutical or FMCG environment, and time-served accredited apprentice or equivalent experience with appropriate certification.



We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive 36 hours of work per week, with a rotating shift pattern, including every 5th Friday off. We offer a range of benefits, including 22.5 days annual leave, 8% Employer Pension Contribution, and free access to the Headspace App.

Key Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years post-qualifications experience in a similar role including PLCs
  • Panel wiring and fault-finding techniques
  • Three-phase and single-phase installations either in a Pharmaceutical or FMCG environment
  • Time-served accredited apprentice or equivalent experience with appropriate certification


Desirable Qualifications:


  • Electrical Engineering Degree
  • Desirable experience with PLC troubleshooting and investigating ladder logic
  • Mechanical logic appreciation
