Software Engineering Manager Opportunity

**About the Role**

A great opportunity has arisen for a Software Engineering Manager to join a leading digital business in Manchester, a household brand with a strong presence in the UK market. The company handles a significant volume of transactions and is looking for an experienced professional to lead their engineering teams.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, focusing on technical excellence and innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, user researchers, and designers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Champion modern engineering practices, such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Pair Programming, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
  • Work closely with the engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring a DevOps environment that values teamwork and collaboration.

**Requirements**

  • Proven experience in software engineering management, with a strong technical background.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices and technologies, including TypeScript, Java, Go, Swift, and Kotlin.

**What We Offer**

  • A competitive salary of up to £80,000, plus a 20% bonus.
