CNC Turner Programmer/Setter/Operator Job Description

Join a leading manufacturer of precision fabricated components and thermal insulation solutions for the motorsport and automotive industries.

We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our team in Aylesbury. As a key member of our machine shop, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines with Fanuc controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and set up CNC turning machines with Fanuc controls
  • Operate HyperMILL CNC milling machines (desirable but not essential)
  • Assess engineering drawings to develop a strategy for creating machined parts
  • Implement the strategy, considering machine efficiency, tooling, and lead times
  • Ensure quality targets are met, collaborating with the Quality Engineer
  • Maintain machine maintenance schedules

Requirements:

  • Ability to program using Fanuc
  • Proven track record in Prog/Set/operation of CNC Lathes with Fanuc controls
  • 3 and 5 axis milling experience is advantageous
  • Off-line programming experience with HyperMILL is an advantage but not essential
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team, backed by qualifications in these disciplines
