SEN Teacher Position

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at a specialist school in Hertfordshire. The school caters to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities, moderate or severe learning problems, or other complex neurological conditions.
The successful candidate will assist with small groups of students throughout the working day, utilizing excellent classroom management skills and the ability to recognize each student's unique needs. Prior SEND experience and primary school teaching experience are essential for this role.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs for students with special educational needs.
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching to support the academic, social, and emotional development of SEN students.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, and other professionals to provide holistic support for students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest SEN teaching strategies and practices.
- Liaise with external agencies and specialists to support the diverse needs of our students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience working as an SEN Teacher, preferably within a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of SEN best practices and legal requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration.
