About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Deputy Service Manager to join our Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs in St. Athan. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Service Manager and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Service Manager in managing the team and the service, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Plan and manage rotas, ensuring adequate staffing levels and skills mix to meet the needs of service users.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans, promoting independence and choice for service users.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of service users, including the management of risk and the implementation of safety procedures.
  • Participate in activities and outings with service users, promoting social inclusion and community engagement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care, with a willingness to work towards Level 3.
  • Senior Support Worker experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with service users, staff, and external agencies.
  • Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Valid driving license, with access to a vehicle for work purposes.
