Exciting Opportunity for a Deputy Service Manager

We are seeking a caring and passionate individual to join our team as a Deputy Service Manager in a Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in health and social care, with experience in managing teams and supporting individuals with complex needs. They will be responsible for planning rotas, managing staff teams, and ensuring compliance within the service.

The Deputy Service Manager will also be responsible for encouraging independence and supporting individuals to make their own choices, ensuring the safety of service users, and following care plans for each individual.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills, able to work independently and as part of a team. They will be committed to providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.
  • Planning rotas, management of staff teams, and ensuring compliance within the service.
  • Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to make their own choices.
  • Ensuring the safety of service users and following care plans for each individual.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and willing to work towards Level 3.
  • Senior Support Worker Experience.
  • Must be resilient and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Drivers ESSENTIAL due to location.
  • Candidates must be happy to do personal care.
