About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Co-ordinator to join our Design and Innovation team at Barratt Developments. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate external design consultants to obtain building control approvals and discharge planning conditions.
  • Procure mains services and provide Construction Issue drawings for site starts.
  • Minimise risk through timely and high-quality information provision.
  • Brief, manage, and drive external consultants to prepare and issue production information.
  • Prepare and present the Design Programme at Progression Meetings.
  • Ensure statutory enquiries, sewer connections, and section agreements are submitted and pursued.
  • Oversee NHBC/Building Regulations applications to approval.
  • Ensure working drawings align with approved Planning Scheme and discharge planning conditions.
  • Monitor and control production information in close liaison with the Development Estimator.
  • Update fee reports on a monthly basis and monitor the Professional Fees budget.
  • Prepare Brochure Plans, Conveyance Plans, and Sales Area drawings.
  • Attend site progress meetings and conduct site inspections.
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties.
  • Attend meetings at various project stages.
Requirements
  • Qualified as a Civil/Building Engineer or hold a Construction-related degree or HNC/HND in a built environment subject with relevant experience.
  • Good technical knowledge of house and flat construction, with a flair for design.
  • Working knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC, Party Wall Awards, and associated legislation.
  • Excellent communication, meeting, and management skills for dealing with multi-disciplined teams.
  • Ability to recognise problems and resolve them efficiently.
