We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Engineer to join our team at Firth Recruitment Ltd. As a Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking installation, modification, repair/maintenance, and diagnostics of various mechanical systems on marine vessels.
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in marine engineering, specifically with Volvo and Yanmar engines. Knowledge of power and sailing boats or boating experience is also essential. You will work independently or as part of a team, ensuring tasks are completed in a structured and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Installation, modification, and repair/maintenance of marine engines and related systems.
- Fault finding and efficient diagnostics.
- Regular training courses to stay up-to-date with new products and modern technology.
- Marine Mechanical Engineering Qualification or time served apprenticeship with hands-on experience.
- Able to work on marine engines and related systems.
- Experience working with marine leisure crafts from 15–65 feet.
- Full UK driver's license.
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 (dependent on experience)
