Children's Clinical Support Worker/Carer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Swanton Care & Community Ltd. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children with complex medical needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to children with complex medical needs, including intimate personal care, clinical tasks, and general support.
- Assist children with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Support children with their individual care plans, including medication administration and medical procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager and other staff members to ensure the highest standard of care is provided.
- Participate in play and stimulation activities with children, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's care and progress.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, risk assessments, and programs.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 3 diploma or relevant qualification or willingness to complete relevant qualification within time frame.
- Good standard of general education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Safeguarding qualification.
- Experience supporting children in a children's home or similar setting (desirable).
