Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Paediatric Staff Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Children's Outpatients and Ambulatory Care department at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Paediatric Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients, ensuring patient safety, and supporting patients and their families throughout their outpatient journey.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on assessing, planning, and implementing high-quality care for patients in the clinical area, in line with the Trust values and objectives. This will include ensuring the safe custody, maintenance, and administration of medication, promoting and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment for patients, and maintaining a good understanding and implementation of clinical escalation procedures as required.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Degree/Diploma in Nursing, be registered on the NMC registers, and hold the appropriate level for the area of specialty. You will also need to have proven clinical experience in a relevant area, experience with acutely ill patients, and the ability to utilise pre-registration experience to demonstrate an understanding of the relevant settings. Additionally, you will need to have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, the ability to communicate with children of all ages and their parents, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
