Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Services Business Analyst to join our team. This role will involve working on regulatory reporting projects, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical specifications and documentation for technology solutions to support downstream applications
  • Assess and manage project and application risks and issues
  • Work with a team of analysts and SMEs to identify and remediate functional gaps, driving continuous process improvements
  • Document product artifacts, including TOMs, control frameworks, business requirements, user stories, and test plans
  • Provide data wrangling/analytics operations
  • Draft report specifications after analyzing and understanding complex database schemas
  • Communicate effectively through presentations and written reports

Requirements

  1. 8+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  2. 3+ years of hands-on experience with SQL or other data analytics tools
  3. 5+ years of business analysis experience, focusing on specification writing and critical thinking
  4. Demonstrable experience in investment banking with regulatory reporting capability
  5. Familiarity with Jira and agile methodologies
  6. Experience in business analysis and working with diverse teams and competing interests for requirements gathering and analyzing technical trade-offs
  7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
  8. Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
  9. Innovation-minded, with the ability to think systematically and redefine solutions to overcome challenges

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
