Career Opportunity for a Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist

Cygnet Hospital Colchester is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Psychologist with a strong background in clinical forensic or mental health settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out psychological assessments, providing therapy to individuals and groups, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop care plans.

The ideal candidate will have experience in complex therapies such as Schema focused, Cognitive Analytical and DBT, and be passionate about working with people with a range of complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out psychological assessments and provide therapy to individuals and groups
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop care plans
  • Provide training and supervision to colleagues and consultation to teams
  • Evaluate the service and contribute to its development and clinical research
  • Disseminate outcomes via conference presentations and publications
Requirements
  • A HCPC registered Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist with experience in a clinical forensic or mental health setting
  • Preferably trained in complex therapies such as Schema focused, Cognitive Analytical and DBT
  • Passionate about working with people with a range of complex mental health needs
  • Capable of treating difficulties such as self-harm, physical and verbal aggression, history of sexual offending and drug and alcohol problems
