We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading food manufacturer based in Scunthorpe. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production lines, maintaining them at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical and engineering maintenance with a focus on safe plant operations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
- Record all breakdowns and service work accurately, maintaining detailed information for each machine and service sheet.
- Conduct planned maintenance as directed by the Engineering Manager and Shift Leader.
- Adhere to food hygiene standards.
- Book out parts from engineering stores according to procedures.
- Understand engineering and operational KPIs and suggest improvements to Shift Leaders.
- Follow company policies and best practices consistently.
- Maintain housekeeping standards under the clean-as-you-go policy for your area and across the site.
Requirements:
- Experience of electrical / mechanical engineering.
- Understanding of FMCG industry.
- Understanding of retailer products and quality standards preferable.
- Experience of successfully managing tasks/projects to completion.
- Computer Literate.
- Effective planning and organisation skills.
