Job Summary

Specialist Clinical Pharmacist

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to manage and support the development of Clinical Pharmacy and Medicines Management initiatives across the Trust.

This pharmacist will have a great opportunity to develop their specialist clinical skills within pharmacy and various clinical specialities.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that at all times standards are maintained, particularly with respect to statutory professional and legal requirements, to ensure that a high quality service is provided in a consistent and equitable manner to all service users.

Main Duties

  • Provides specialised clinical pharmacy services.
  • Directly manages and supervises the professional services and activities carried out by clinical pharmacists and trainee pharmacists, technicians and support staff, to wards and departments.

Person Specification

Education/Qualifications

  • Registered with the GPhC.
  • Completion of the first year of a clinical diploma.
  • Master's Degree in Pharmacy.

Experience

  • Hospital Experience and ability to demonstrate medicines management at ward level.
  • 1-year post registration clinical experience.
  • Participation in an audit/research project.
  • Teaching/training experience.
