Job Title: KS2 Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate KS2 Teacher to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU). The ideal candidate will have a qualified teacher status (QTS) and experience working with young people who may exhibit challenging behaviour.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 2 students in a supportive and inclusive environment. The PRU caters for children aged 5-16 who have been permanently excluded from mainstream schools or require additional support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Key Stage 2 students in a supportive and inclusive environment
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Work closely with colleagues to provide a comprehensive education program
  • Support students with challenging behaviour through targeted interventions and programmes
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure the PRU's core values of growth, respect, opportunity, and well-being are upheld
Requirements
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Experience working with young people who may exhibit challenging behaviour
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and patient personality
  • Great understanding of safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people
