We are seeking a talented Scientist to lead scientific foresight acquisition focused on identifying and evaluating potential scientific threats or opportunities to our nicotine and beyond nicotine portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor scientific publications, conferences, clinical trials, and IP to maintain an awareness and overview of developments in these sources.
- Design and execute investigations as accelerator projects with external partners using agile methodologies.
- Collaborate with the Capabilities arm of the Novel Scientific Capabilities and Foresights team and wider R&D partners to manage investigations.
- Interpret data, report, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Track publications, conduct competitor analysis, IP landscaping, and clinical trial monitoring.
- Manage research programmes to deliver projects to timelines with appropriate budgetary governance.
- Provide strong conclusions and recommendations based on critical thinking in data interpretation.
- Communicate scientific findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Identify external collaborations to strengthen the scientific agenda.
- BSc in a life science or relevant subject.
- Experience designing and leading multiple scientific research programs across fields.
- Ability to translate scientific findings into actionable business insights and communicate publicly to partners.
