Scientist - Novel Scientific Capabilities and Foresights Expert

As a Scientist - Novel Scientific Capabilities and Foresights, you will be part of a dynamic team driving innovation and growth at BAT. Your primary focus will be on leading scientific foresight acquisition, identifying potential threats or opportunities to our nicotine and beyond nicotine portfolios.
Key Responsibilities- Technical leadership across categories, ensuring the development of cutting-edge scientific capabilities.
- Translate technical trends into actionable insights, driving initial technical feasibility assessments.
- Design and execute studies, collaborating with colleagues to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Interpret data, report findings, and communicate results to stakeholders.
- Publish research, file patents, and present at conferences.
- Publication tracking, competitor analysis, IP landscaping, and clinical trial monitoring.
- Experience in study design and execution, managing research programs to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Proven track record of oral and written communication skills, including external presentations and technical reports.
- Critical thinking in data interpretation to provide strong conclusions and recommendations.
- Proven skills in scientific communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong collaborative engagement, identifying external collaborations to strengthen the scientific agenda.
- Minimally a BSc in a life science or relevant subject.
