Manufacturing Process Optimiser

At Rubicon People Partnership, we're seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you'll play a vital role in optimising our manufacturing processes, improving quality, and driving efficiency throughout the manufacturing cycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee new product introduction, establishing efficient production methods and providing guidance to design and production teams.
- Implement structured problem-solving techniques to resolve production-related challenges.
- Assist with cost reduction initiatives and introduce innovative processes, techniques, and solutions.
- Train and mentor operators on production procedures and best practices.
- Prepare estimates and manage costs related to job functions.
- Cultivate strong relationships with both internal colleagues and external suppliers/customers.
- Actively participate in Health and Safety initiatives.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis efforts to identify and address underlying issues.
- Identify and implement advanced manufacturing techniques.
- Analyse and plan workflow, space utilisation, and equipment placement to optimise manufacturing efficiency.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure production equipment remains operational.
- Provide Design for Manufacturing (DfM) advice to the Engineering team.
- Experience with modern manufacturing processes.
- Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Able to demonstrate achievements of improving processes and quality within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work alongside a range of disciplines and promote a positive team environment.
- Highly organised, capable of managing concurrent and often competing priorities.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks would be beneficial.
