Project Engineer EC&I (Nuclear)

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team as we expand our capabilities in the UK's nuclear industry.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the successful delivery of complex construction projects, focusing on compliance, safety, and optimisation throughout.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor project delivery, identifying risk and opportunities, and working with key stakeholders to optimise project delivery.
  2. Assess the constructability of proposed designs and ensure that design teams produce feasible designs within required timescales.
  3. Lead the delivery of construction works, ensuring compliance with all company processes and protocols.
  4. Review and approve contractor documents as delegated by Project Manager.
  5. Support and develop the supervisory and engineering team, and support project steering groups/cross discipline action groups, as required.
  6. Perform up-front site surveys, including liaising with designers.
  7. Proofread and approve drawings.
  8. Act as point of contact for site-related project issues.
  9. Act as Test Team Leader where appropriate.
  10. Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm.
  11. Manage the implementation of systems and processes for Right First-Time approach.
  12. Overall ownership of Handover Documentation for Section.
  13. Input and drive of operational target programs to reflect overall construction program.
  14. Liaise with off-site functions for knowledge sharing and best practice.
  15. Other assigned duties.
