Job Summary

Silvaco is seeking a skilled software engineer to join our process simulation team in Europe. As a Stress Software Developer, you will work on developing solutions for mechanical stress and viscous stress effects, including efficient discretization and linearization of non-linear equation systems.

Key responsibilities include developing, supporting, testing, and maintaining existing simulation software, identifying and understanding limitations of existing software components, and improving and developing simulation methodologies.

Requirements include a D. in Physics, Engineering, or a related field, strong proficiency in C++ or an equivalent object-oriented programming language, and extensive experience in software design and development within teams.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develop, support, test, and maintain existing simulation software.
  • Identify and understand limitations of existing software components.
  • Improve and develop simulation methodologies.
  • Develop and provide software solutions for physical models.
  • Understand and improve numerical schemes relevant for stress simulation problems.

Qualifications and Required Experience

  • D. in Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ or an equivalent object-oriented programming language.
  • Extensive experience in software design and development within teams.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Prolonged periods of typing.
  • Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less working with small objects or reading small print.
