About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Manager to join our team at East Kent Mencap. In this dynamic position, you will lead the development and execution of our marketing and communications strategies, strengthening our brand and growing our supporter base.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the Senior Management Team to develop and deliver engaging and impactful marketing and fundraising campaigns.
  • Researching and securing potential funders, leading successful bid submissions.
  • Building meaningful relationships with donors, partners, and media to boost support.
  • Managing fundraising activities, including individual giving, major donors, trusts and foundations, and legacies.
  • Organising and promoting fundraising events, working closely with volunteers, partners, and the community.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years experience in a similar role within a charity, non-profit, or comparable environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
  • Digital marketing skills, including proficiency in social media management, content creation, and digital analytics.
  • Fundraising knowledge, including understanding of different fundraising techniques.
