About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operations Manager to join our dynamic team at McCarthy Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site plant, equipment, operations, and personnel, ensuring smooth and productive operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and resource for long-term and short-term site objectives, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Execute quarry and waste management plans, adhering to regulatory permits, health and safety guidelines, and site operating plans.
  • Deliver safe and controlled plan delivery, meeting agreed timescales and legislative requirements.
  • Manage plant defect reporting, minimizing plant downtime and ensuring timely maintenance.
  • Complete site administration, including weekly costing information, purchase order submission, payroll, productivity reporting, and compliance checklists.
  • Ensure all reporting deadlines are met, and administration is completed in accordance with company or external requirements.
  • Manage site housekeeping standards and infrastructure, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Responsible for site safety and security, ensuring all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality processes are carried out.
  • Hold regular team meetings and facilitate team training, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience in landfill, quarrying, and/or civil engineering, with a strong understanding of regulatory permits and health and safety guidelines.
  • Proven track record of managing site operations, with a focus on productivity, efficiency, and safety.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible approach to site operations and customer needs.
