About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team at People's Partnership. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining an effective IT Database function that supports the needs of our business activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective access to corporate data and maintain the security and integrity of data items and their control environment.
- Deliver guidance, support, and system solutions to enable continued operation and growth of the business.
- Action all aspects of the IT business continuity plans as and when required.
- Install, upgrade, monitor, and tune database software (SQL Server).
- Control backups and recovery of databases and associated software.
- Monitor the integrity and security of corporate databases and escalate/report any issues or security breaches as appropriate.
- Implement and monitor the group's access control policy in line with legal and company requirements.
- Advise on the selection/acquisition of database software and establish and manage database standards.
Requirements
- Experience in Microsoft environments.
- Database design and optimization.
- SQL Server database operating experience.
- Manage, configure, and optimize database environments.
- Microsoft certification or equivalent in database administration.
