Five Education Recruitment Limited is seeking a Behaviour Specialist Teacher to join our team in Weston Super Mare. As a Behaviour Specialist Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering content to young people with Autism and/or SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs) in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in the classroom to make progress in their education.
- Evidence differentiation in all tasks, so that all students can access the curriculum.
- Implement behaviour management tools.
- Help students to develop self-regulation techniques, and learn when they need to employ them.
- Teach the curriculum using existing resources as well as using your own initiative to engage pupils.
Essential Criteria:
- A flexible and resourceful approach.
- At least 12 months experience supporting/teaching children/ young people in an educational, care or coaching environment.
- Ideally, you will have experience supporting/teaching children or young people with SEND.
- Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa).
- Two recent child-based references and relevant DBS/ Police checks.
- Access to bicycle, car or near main bus routes.
- Able to work, 5 days per week term time only.
