Healthcare Team Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and compassionate Care Professional to join our Special School Nursing Team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to children and young people with SEN and complex health conditions. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working with children and individuals with learning disabilities, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a team. We welcome applicants who can demonstrate a commitment to delivering compassionate and accessible care.
Job Requirements
- Healthcare qualification Level 3 or equivalent.
- Good basic education or GSCE in English and maths.
- Working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in either a hospital or community setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage own time, plan, and prioritise work efficiently.
- Able to work independently when on visits and demonstrate sound thought process for basic problem solving.
- Confident in dealing with difficult situations.
- Knowledge of care and related procedures, including clinical observations.
- Required to deal with emotional/distressing circumstances and manage unpleasant conditions.
- Good organisational skills and flexibility to work in a demanding environment.
- Basic computer skills and ability to travel for meetings across sites in Southampton, Portsmouth, and Hampshire.
- Ability to work with children and vulnerable adults.
We offer a competitive salary of £22,135 - £28,746 per annum, depending on experience.
