We are seeking a skilled Freight Operations Specialist to join our team in Southampton. As a key member of our Specialist Haulage team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the loading and unloading of cargo and freight shipments, ensuring customer requirements and service levels are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raise accurate quotes for cargo and road transport to ensure profitability.
  • Coordinate cargo movements and ensure costs are minimized.
  • Arrange pick-ups and collections with customers as required.
  • Be a point of contact for cargo-related enquiries.
  • Secure the best possible prices for purchases and services.
  • Ensure customer service levels are achieved.
  • Finalize jobs on internal systems for invoicing.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within shipping lines, port operations, or container handling.
  • Knowledge of Road Haulage.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong team player.
  • Previous TOPS experience – desirable.
