Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef to join Barchester Healthcare, a leading UK healthcare provider, as a Bank Chef at their Reigate location. Main Duties of the Job

As a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavorsome, and well-balanced menus, while working closely with residents to tailor the menus to their preferences. You will be responsible for helping to manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring the delivery of hotel/restaurant standards without the long hours and split shifts typical of the industry. You will work within budget, complete regular audits, and manage stock control, while also helping to lead and motivate a team.

Job Responsibilities

Working as a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will have the chance to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavorsome, and well-balanced menus whilst working with residents to tailor menus around them. Requirements
  • A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team
  • A good understanding of nutrition
  • Experience of working with fresh seasonal food
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home
  • A good understanding of HACCP
