The Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers to deliver technical solutions to budget and targets. You will be responsible for managing multi-discipline teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of engineering work. You will also promote effective cooperation across engineering and other functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effective management of multi-discipline teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of engineering work
  • Promote effective cooperation across engineering and other functional teams
  • Ensure effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development with existing and new customers
  • Technical management of the engineering output to ensure delivery of technical solutions in line with agreed technical scope
  • Ensure application of highest standards for health and safety in immediate area of responsibility
  • Manage resource demands and development of capability skills to match needs of future workload
  • Ensure project and technical audits and review are planned and executed in order to impart learning and experience as appropriate

Essential Experience

  • Demonstrable management experience, including experience in managing multi-discipline teams to deliver analysis activities on a range of project types
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline with significant demonstrable experience
