Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Furniture Workshop Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for crafting bespoke cabinetry solutions, working closely with our experienced site fitters and craftsmen to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Cabinet Making and Joinery
- Learn and develop skills in cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and other materials to create bespoke cabinetry.
- Assist in the construction of custom-built cabinets, wardrobes, shelves, and other furniture pieces.
- Prepare and process materials for use in cabinetry projects, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Learn techniques for sanding and finishing cabinetry to achieve a high-quality, durable finish.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and well-maintained, ensuring tools and equipment are stored correctly.
- Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance joinery skills and knowledge.
- Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and best practices in cabinetry and joinery.
Requirements
- Live in the area or able to commute to Blackpool FY2 easily.
- No formal qualifications are required; however, a keen interest in joinery, woodworking, and cabinetry is essential.
- Strong practical skills and the ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
- Good mathematical skills for accurate measuring and cutting.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
- A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
