About the Role
Room Makers is seeking a skilled Furniture Workshop Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality, custom-made furniture for our residential and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the construction of custom-built cabinets, wardrobes, shelves, and other furniture pieces.
- Prepare and process materials for use in cabinetry projects, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Learn techniques for sanding and finishing cabinetry to achieve a high-quality, durable finish.
- Maintain a safe and organized workshop, adhering to health and safety guidelines and procedures.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance joinery skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Live in the area or be able to commute to Blackpool easily.
- No formal qualifications are required, but a keen interest in joinery, woodworking, and cabinetry is essential.
- Strong practical skills and the ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
- Good mathematical skills for accurate measuring and cutting.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
