Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

About the Role:

Cento is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Gloucester. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate costs at Tender Handover and during Contract Review.
  • Thoroughly review contract conditions to identify potential impacts on the commercial status of projects.
  • Manage commercial relationships with Clients and produce monthly cost control reports for project teams.
  • Challenge non-recoverable costs by investigating causes and solutions.
  • Monitor and scrutinize project expenditures for accuracy.
  • Provide accurate forecasts of project costs through to completion and final account.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of construction-specific contract forms.
  • Significant experience in quantity surveying within a relevant business environment.
  • Strong understanding of contracts, particularly JCT and NEC, and their administration.
  • Robust general contractual and commercial knowledge.
  • Experience in a senior position, with strong commercial management and project experience.

Working Conditions:

This position will primarily be located in Gloucester, with frequent travel to other offices and site locations across the UK and Europe.
