Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team at CPR Recruitment. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cost Estimation & Feasibility Studies: Prepare detailed cost plans, feasibility assessments, and cost estimates to ensure projects are financially viable from the outset.
  2. Tender & Contract Preparation: Draft tender documentation, including bills of quantities and schedules of works, and assist in contract negotiations.
  3. Cost Control & Monitoring: Conduct regular site visits and meetings to track project progress and manage any variations or changes. Ensure costs are controlled in line with budgets and provide accurate cost forecasting.
  4. Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement of materials, services, and subcontractors, ensuring value for money and compliance with contractual obligations.
  5. Valuations & Payments: Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and payment certificates for contractors and subcontractors.
  6. Risk & Value Management: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate financial and contractual risks. Ensure that value engineering opportunities are maximized to enhance project profitability.
  7. Reporting & Communication: Provide regular cost reports and updates to the project team, senior management, and clients. Maintain clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual with:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry and experience across a variety of project types (residential, commercial, or infrastructure) is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of standard forms of contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC) and strong familiarity with contract law and cost management practices.
