Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced medical leader to join our team as Deputy Medical Director. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care and staff satisfaction.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will work closely with the Medical Director to provide senior clinical leadership and support the delivery of our quality improvement agenda. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Deputising for the Medical Director as required
  • Leading on quality and safety initiatives
  • Developing and implementing clinical governance policies
  • Working with patient groups and managing complaints
  • Delivering significant change programmes

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Senior substantive clinical leadership experience
  • Full registration with the GMC
  • Evidence of participation in annual appraisal and CPD
  • Experience of senior clinical leadership at service or divisional level
  • Commitment to multi-disciplinary working and evidence of leading such a team
