About the Role:

Vulcain Engineering - UK is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will provide structural and steelwork engineering support for energy projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage or participate in steelwork structure design, ensuring compliance with Civil and Mechanical Nuclear Standards
  • Collaborate with CAD designers on design drawings and models
  • Control calculation notes, analytical models, and design drawings
  • Maintain company and customer QA procedures for civil design of a nuclear reactor site
  • Manage engineering changes, liaising with concrete structures, pipes, electrical, and ventilation interfaces design management teams
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including design offices, construction teams, and project management
  • Write technical documents to support delivery
  • Participate in technical communities to support Vulcain staff development

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical engineering, or significant qualifications with relevant experience
  • Senior/principal level of experience in detailed design of Steel Structures
  • Chartership status or actively pursuing Chartership through a recognised international body
  • Experience with material interfaces, high-hazard industries, and on-site design support
  • Proficiency in Robot, Rstab, STAAD Pro, Civil Standards (Eurocodes, ETC-C, RCC-CW), and TEKLA Structures
