The Wokingham Borough Council is seeking a talented and experienced Director of Community Wellbeing to join our team. As Director of Public Health, you will be responsible for delivering excellent public health services for Wokingham residents, improving their health and wellbeing, and reducing inequalities in health outcomes.

You will take on a key strategic leadership role across the Council and our partnerships, working closely with key partners to improve health outcomes. This includes collaborating with the Police, Fire, schools, and the voluntary sector, aligning efforts to maximise impact.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of public health principles and experience in leading cross-system approaches to deliver positive health outcomes. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Salary: £123,062 per annum

Job Type: Full-time

Experience: At least 5 years' experience in public health or a related field

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in public health or a related field
