About the Role

As an Electrical Installation Designer at Oxa Autonomy, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing electrical installations for new vehicles and modifications to existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical installations, including harness routing and packaging of electronic components.
  • Contribute to the design of electrical harnesses and associated components, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Generate technical documentation to support harness manufacture, vehicle assembly, and operation.
  • Support the development of off-vehicle systems, internal test facilities, and rigs.
  • Resolve electronic systems faults and ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level in an engineering subject or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in electrical installation design, preferably with Solidworks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Harness draftsman documents and electrical schematic design packages.
  • Proficiency in electrical schematic design packages, such as Zuken E3 or VeSys Electrical.
  • Good understanding of electrical components, systems, and their integration.
  • Ability to plan and manage own workload, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and capable of working independently to challenging deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Google Docs.
  • Ability to positively contribute to an open and inclusive company culture.
Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with various automotive connector systems, such as Deutsch, Molex, and TE Connectivity.
  • Skilled in soldering surface mount technology (SMT) components and diagnosing/repairing printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Understanding of CAN bus architecture.
