We are offering a competitive salary for this role, estimated to be around £85,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a golden hello of £5,000 (terms and conditions apply).

Role: Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (Critical Care & Antimicrobial Stewardship)

Location: The Wellington Hospital, London

Contract Type: Permanent, Full time, 37.5 hours

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist with critical care experience to join our pharmacy team at The Wellington Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with excellent clinical skills to lead and transform our pharmacy services for critical care and antimicrobial stewardship.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality comprehensive clinical pharmacy service across two intensive care units in the Wellington South and North hospitals. In addition, you will be the lead pharmacist for antimicrobial stewardship where you will oversee the coordination of the microbiology ward rounds and support on the antimicrobial stewardship strategy for the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and transform pharmacy services for critical care and antimicrobial stewardship
  • Provide high-quality comprehensive clinical pharmacy service across two intensive care units
  • Oversee the coordination of microbiology ward rounds
  • Support the antimicrobial stewardship strategy for the hospital

Required Skills and Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • Master's Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent)
  • GPhC Registration
  • Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience
  • Extensive relevant pharmacy experience including providing a clinical pharmacy service to critical care at an advanced level
  • Experience in ICU
  • An interest in antimicrobial stewardship with desirable experience
  • Strong initiative and commitment, with a 'can-do' attitude to work
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
