Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to assist our Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional food and a strong leadership style to motivate and develop a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional service.
  • Develop and implement new dishes and menus to drive sales and growth.
  • Manage kitchen staff rotas, training, and health and safety procedures.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials.
  • Drive sales and deliver growth through engagement with both kitchen and front of house teams.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP looking for their next step.
  • A natural leader with a passion and flare for producing quality fresh food in an environment that makes people feel welcome.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Responsible and able to manage the kitchen staff rota, training, and all health and safety effectively at all times.
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and ability by helping to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials.
  • Great planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and labour.
  • A pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house teams.
