Job Summary
NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and specialized Clinical Perfusionist to provide a senior clinical perfusion service to patients in various departments across NHS Lothian and NHS Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinically manage and control the temporary replacement of a patient's cardiopulmonary function to enable cardiac surgery to take place.
- Operate auxiliary equipment for the benefit of patient safety and the effectiveness of clinical outcome.
- Mentor trainee clinical perfusionists and support junior perfusionists, participating fully in the development and training of the team.
- Contribute to research, development, evaluation, and testing of new clinical equipment and procedures.
