Product Director
We are seeking a Product Director to lead our Business Analysis job family and ensure that business analysts operate effectively within the business-aligned team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the team of business and system analysts that sit within the business-aligned agile teams.
- Recruit and develop business analysts as needed.
- Ensure the processes of analysis are well documented, communicated, and trained.
- Oversee and lead the lifecycle of product development – ensuring that analysts support the engineers through the build and test process.
- Lead the day-to-day execution of product delivery and development.
- Ensure product development priorities are driven by commercial and profitable outcomes.
- Provide a framework for evaluating the product portfolio and investment decisions.
- Ensure products are managed to requisite quality, capturing all necessary requirements from across the business and minimizing business operational disruption.
- Continuously suggest enhanced ways of developing the team and their capabilities.
Experience and Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience.
- Strong talent management skills, including talent development, coaching, mentoring, and team motivation.
- Experience leading geographically distributed teams.
- Understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Understanding of relevant tools (e.g., Jira, Azure Dev Ops, etc.), with an eagerness to learn about new and unfamiliar technologies.
- Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand and drive business objectives.
Personal Attributes:
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, including an ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources.
- Adaptability and ability to manage rapid change in business needs, processes, or technologies.
- Able to take pragmatic decisions to move forward with an eye for short/medium/long-term outcomes.
