Job Title: Health Care Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our team at a leading co-educational school in Portsmouth. The successful candidate will play a vital role in co-ordinating the Health and Wellbeing Centre and providing support to the School Nurses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate the Health and Wellbeing Centre, providing medical care, first aid, and health and wellbeing support to pupils and staff.
  • Support the School Nurses in their daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider school community to promote health and wellbeing.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or a related field.
  • Current First Aid qualification, either in First Aid at Work or Paediatric First Aid.
  • Experience of working in a team, ideally in a customer-facing role working with the public or young people.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
