**Freight Planning Specialist Job Description:**

We are looking for a talented Freight Planning Specialist to join our team at Knowles Logistics. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating loads of freight within our Pallet force and warehousing teams.

Job Summary:

Control loads of freight within Knowles Logistics Pallet force and warehousing teams, ensuring efficient movement of goods, considering schedules, costs, and health and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan loads to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor personnel and equipment locations to coordinate service and schedules.
  • Relay work orders and messages to teams.
  • Plan schedules to update teams on produce movement.
  • Confer with customers and supervising personnel to address questions and requests.
  • Record and maintain customer request and work information.
  • Liaise with teams to understand unplanned issues and offer resolutions.
  • Maximise Load Fill for outbound deliveries.
  • Determine types and amounts of loads and vehicles required.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in transport or planning office.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good UK geographical knowledge.
  • Highly organised and adaptable.
  • PC literate with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Able to work flexibly within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused.
