We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist Team Manager to join our dynamic Microbiology team at SYNLAB UK & Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Biomedical Scientists to provide an efficient and effective Microbiology service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Biomedical Scientists to ensure the delivery of high-quality Microbiology services.
  • Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Microbiology services.
  • Investigate and report errors and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct risk assessments and COSHH evaluations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide training and coaching to team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration and Specialist portfolio or equivalent in Microbiology.
  • Management qualification to ILM level 3 or relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard laboratory information management systems and computer applications.
  • Working knowledge of Microbiological manual and automated techniques and practices.
  • Working knowledge of Molecular biology techniques and platforms.
