Program Manager Job Description

Egencia, an American Express Global Business Travel company, is seeking a skilled Program Manager to join our Product & Engineering team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering cross-functional programs that span across Product & Engineering, Finance, Global Customer Operations, and B2B Excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the delivery of cross-functional programs from inception to go-to-market.
  • Identify relevant stakeholders and manage expectations.
  • Collaborate with partners to understand work breakdown, activity sequencing, and develop delivery plans.
  • Hold teams accountable for deliverables and outcomes.
  • Manage dependencies, risks, issues, and validate planning assumptions.
  • Provide stakeholders with regular status updates.
  • Establish and execute governance routines and practices as needed.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of Technical Program or Product Management experience in a professional technology organization.
  • System and architectural level understanding of web and application development.
  • Optional but highly valued: Air and Travel Industry Knowledge.
  • Excellent problem resolution skills, using data to validate an approach.
  • Works well with deadlines and manages dependencies accordingly.
  • Communicates concisely to all levels of the organization.
  • Works to provide clarity when given ambiguous scope.
  • Consistently able to balance multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Works with the organization to drive decision-making.
  • Expert-level tooling proficiency in Monday.com, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Excel, JIRA, Confluence, GitHub.
