Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud and Server Architect to join our team at a leading Higher Education Body. As a Cloud and Server Architect, you will play a key role in the implementation of server and cloud architectures, working closely with the IT Systems Manager to ensure seamless management, maintenance, and support of server and cloud infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud and server infrastructure.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain server and cloud systems, including Windows and Linux servers, VMWare, Hyper-V, SAN/NAS storage, network switches, and cloud services (Office 365, Azure).
  • Develop and document procedures for cloud and server systems management.
  • Perform proactive monitoring and regular performance analysis.
  • Generate reports and maintain an inventory of server equipment.

Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess a Level 4 qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in IT server systems. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in server system support within a multi-site IT service environment is required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, VMware, or Hyper-V is essential. Ability to travel between sites and attend external events is also necessary.

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum
