Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our Integrated Urgent Care team as a Clinical Leadership Role. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership to the Trust's workforce for integrated urgent care, ensuring ambulance clinical quality indicators and key clinical performance metrics are achieved.

The Advanced Practitioner will be responsible for providing clinical advice and support to operational management, quality & safety, research, and clinical pathways teams. They will also promote a culture of continuous development, nurturing talents and building strengths within teams.

The ideal candidate will have significant post-registration experience of advanced clinical practice, clinical leadership, clinical supervision, and mentorship. They will also have experience in the assessment and care of undifferentiated patients in a remote care or an urgent and emergency care setting.

The successful candidate will be a registered health professional with no restrictions on practice, holding a Master's Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent. They will also have non-medical prescribing qualifications and experience in delivering advanced clinical skills and interventions in accordance with the scope of practice for Advanced Practitioner Urgent Care.

The role will involve conducting advanced clinical assessments of patients with complex health needs, ensuring care plans meet these needs. The Advanced Practitioner will also be responsible for administering or prescribing medication in line with Trust policies and guidelines, navigating acute and urgent care pathways effectively, and referring patients to appropriate care settings.

The successful candidate will be a strong leader, able to engage in self-appraisal and lead others development through supervision, mentorship, and reflective practice. They will also be able to develop systems for feedback to improve clinical care and professional practice.

The role will involve working closely with the clinical validation service and integrated urgent care team to promote a positive safety culture and contribute to policy and guideline development. The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading the development of evidence-based SOPs, clinical guidelines, and care pathways.
